At first I found this single cask release from Isle of Harris Distillery to be fine—good, but overpriced. (I’d picked it up when it went on sale.) But over time it really grew on me. I enjoyed it neat and in cocktails like the Penicillin and Rob Roy. Sláinte! What should I call this one? It uses the classic 5:1 martini ratio of Roku Gin to Bigallet China-China Amaro, garnished with orange zest. Tastes great, and look at that color! (📸2) Any ideas for a name? Cheers! Enjoying these final pre-Fall evenings out back as the light still lingers. This 2016 bottle of Henry McKenna is my last, and luckily it’s a good one. Like summer, it’s very near its end, so, savoring it while I still can. Cheers!
