It was interesting to taste Shinobu’s first 100% in-house release after some of their sourced blends. It’s an enigmatic, edgy whisky with a core of sweet fruit and vanilla notes. Clearly I enjoyed it. Kanpai! Sometimes I cheat on whiskey with apple brandy—in this case a mighty little bottle of cask strength, 10-year brandy from @drydiggingsdistillery that packs a sweet punch. Highly recommended if you can find it. Cheers! One of those “those were the days” bottles. Excellent bourbon. And cheap. So glad I still have another in the bunker. Cheers!
