It’s been a minute since I’ve had a McKenzie Rye Single Barrel. The last one was aged ~5 years and was a wild ride. This latest is aged 9 years and I’m hoping age hasn’t tamed its rambunctiousness. Cheers! I will miss this smoky caramel rascal of a whisky from mighty little Edradour Distillery’s peated Ballechin line. Such a good dram. Sláinte! To say I’m looking forward to this is an understatement. Cask strength MGP rye aged 14 years? And for half the 💸 those specs were going for just a handful of years ago? Pffft! I’m there!

Now also on THREADS and BLUESKY 🧵🦋🥃
