This Booker’s from 10 years ago is one of five Booker’s remaining on my shelf, all from 2015/16. Once they’re gone I’ll likely be done with Booker’s, the range of options now on the market having made the brand a less appealing buy for the price. But this bottle, bought for its 2016 price? Excellent. Cheers! To accompany my classic reading, a classic dry martini in the author’s preferred manner—12 to 1 ratio of gin to dry vermouth, ice cold, with lemon zest. Simple. Effective. Cheers! Doh! I thought I’d made my last bottle buys before my self-imposed June-to-June Year of Only 12 Bottle Buys kicks in, but then I found this. It had been lingering in the basement of a corner store near me since 2002 and they finally put it out. I’d assumed my city had long been picked clean of these old WT101s but yuh never know what might turn up. Cheers!

Now also on THREADS and BLUESKY 🧵🦋🥃
