I went to a tasting of Isle of Harris whiskies last year, a row of their standards. They were fine. But this single cask is a notch above. Robust vanilla paired with a range of stone fruits and easygoing maritime notes. Good stuff. Sláinte! This Clynelish 14 Year from 2016 has that wonderful viscous waxiness from just before whatever they tweaked to make it just a bit thinner. Yum. Sláinte! I went through this one fast! A very well balanced, complex, approachable single malt. I’d be glad to always have it on my shelf. Sláinte!

Now also on THREADS and BLUESKY 🧵🦋🥃
