We have a winner. A solid average age, cask strength ABV, excellent and approachable complexity, and I picked it up on sale to boot. Slàinte! This stuff was dark and broody and I loved every sip. Among the few whiskies I’ve bought a back up of since getting out of the back-up habit. This final pour is of that back up, so, farewell Laphroaig Cairdeas 2024. It’s been a lovely stormy ride. Sláinte! My favorite Manhattan riff, the Rob Roy, here made with MacLean’s Nose Blended Scotch, Carpano Antica sweet vermouth, Angostura bitters. And look at that color! That’s not AI just the real deal. Cheers!
