Want a cloudy day to turn sunny? Pour a glass of Redbreast. Always seems to work. Sláinte! The Penicillin cocktail has become one of my year-round faves. This one was made with 2oz Clynelish 14 Year, 1oz Meyer lemon juice, 0.5oz Fiji ginger syrup, 0.25oz sugar cane syrup, 0.25oz Ardbeg Corryvrecken. Served in a chilled glass and enjoyed in the setting autumn sun. Good medicine indeed. Cheers! Compass Box pitches its Secrets of Smoke release as a marriage of smoky and sweet. At first pour, the smoke and sweetness are still courting but not quite yet married, with an ashiness dominating the relationship. I’ll check in on this one again after it’s taken more air. Sláinte!

Now also on THREADS and BLUESKY 🧵🦋🥃
