Last year I found a bunch of these 375ml bottles of 2003 Jim Beam 8 Year at a corner store and scooped them up. This bourbon is like a great dive bar in a glass, best way I can think to describe it. Love it. Cheers! We have a winner. A solid average age, cask strength ABV, excellent and approachable complexity, and I picked it up on sale to boot. Slàinte! This stuff was dark and broody and I loved every sip. Among the few whiskies I’ve bought a back up of since getting out of the back-up habit. This final pour is of that back up, so, farewell Laphroaig Cairdeas 2024. It’s been a lovely stormy ride. Sláinte!

Now also on THREADS and BLUESKY 🧵🦋🥃
